Tatango.tv = BRILLIANT
On March 1, 2009, the team of Tatango.com launched their 24 hour live broadcast called Tatango.tv. Basically they set up a bunch of web cam’s around their offices and are streaming live, via Ustream, 24 hours a day.
I have had the privilege of meeting Derek Johnson, CEO of Tatango, and Adrian Pike, CTO of Tatango at the Teens in Tech Conference. This was a very exciting time in my life and I felt very honored to finally get to meet them. Hearing what they had to say about Tatango and the life of entrepreneurs just set the fire under me even higher. When I first heard about their idea of Tatango.tv I was hooked and ready to see it in action. Now this is a very bold move to make and will get tons of feedback and criticism. But, in my personal opinion, I think this idea is brilliant. Why? Social networking and social media are hitting the main stream harder than ever right now. Tatango uses Twitter religiously and Derek now has his “tip of the day” as a video blog post. Why stop there? Streaming live 24/7 may be a risk, but it’s a great way to keep your fans/customers in tack with what you do and what you love to do. Having a live stream, with a chat room, enables people to jump in and ask questions and get to know the team of Tatango. They can clearly show that they are hard at work and talk about what they are doing and the future of Tatango. Communication is such an important part of business that I feel this is the right move to make. I can see this idea being used a lot more in the future of businesses.
The best part of Tatango is that they are all young, full of ideas and with Web 2.0 and the latest enhancements of technology, they will crush whatever challenge comes there way and be able to make bigger and better improvements to Tatango.
